Female Support Worker – Waterloo, NSW

Halo Health Support is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Female Support Worker to support a participant in Waterloo, NSW and surrounding suburbs.

Position Details

  • Location: Waterloo, NSW and surrounding suburbs
  • Employment type: Casual / Part-Time
  • Shifts: Flexible availability, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Pay: $26.44–$57.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, shift and applicable employment conditions

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Female, with late 20s to 30s preferred for peer compatibility
  • Reliable, compassionate, and professional
  • Experienced in providing person-centred disability support
  • Confident communicating with participants, families, and other support professionals
  • Flexible and available across a range of shifts
  • Comfortable supporting community access and appointments

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the disability sector
  • Current Full Australian Driver Licence
  • Own reliable, registered vehicle with appropriate insurance
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain one
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Relevant disability support qualifications are highly regarded
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care
  • Support community access, appointments, and recreational activities
  • Safely transport the participant to local outings and appointments
  • Encourage independence and participation in the community
  • Provide respectful, person-centred support
  • Build a positive, safe, and supportive relationship with the participant
  • Follow individual support plans and workplace policies
