About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SILS) homes and community settings.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting participants with daily living activities
- Personal care, manual handling and mobility assistance
- Medication assistance and documentation
- Community access and social support
- Promoting independence, choice and inclusion
- Completing sleepover and overnight support shifts
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and reports
About You To be successful, you will have:
- Previous Disability Support Worker experience
- Experience working within SILS environments
- Availability to work sleepover and overnight shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A person-centred and participant-focused approach
- Reliability, flexibility and professionalism
- Essential RequirementsMinimum 6 months recent disability support experience
- Experience supporting participants in SILS settings
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transport (preferred)
- Up-to-date vaccinations and compliance documentation
