About the Role 

As a Disability Support Worker with Ignite, you will work alongside participants to support their individual goals, promote independence, and encourage active participation in their homes and communities. You will provide support tailored to each person's needs, interests and aspirations, while ensuring they remain at the centre of decision-making. Responsibilities will vary and may include: 

  • Supporting participants with daily living activities 
  • Personal care and medication assistance 
  • Community access and social participation 
  • Supporting individuals to pursue hobbies, interests and recreational activities 
  • Assisting with skill development and capacity building 
  • Supporting participants to attend appointments and achieve personal goals 
  • Building positive and respectful relationships with participants, families and stakeholders 
  • Promoting choice, dignity, inclusion and independence

We have shifts available across a broad range of Perth's southern metropolitan suburbs, including: Cannington, Fremantle and Rockingham. 

Essential Requirements 

  • Previous experience in a similar role or Certificate III in Individual Support 
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence 
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance 
  • Smartphone and basic technology skills 
  • Full Australian working rights
