Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to achieve their goals and work towards identifying their strength to promote their independence.
  • Identify the needs of the clients and working along with them to realise their potentials and promote their recovery
  • Connect with governmental, non-governmental and other institutions to enhance the functioning of the clients.
  • Deal with the clients with complex mental health issues and enable them to reach lead a better life.
  • Developing and implementing programs with the client to grow their living skills and abilities so they can make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible and participate in the community.
  • Transporting clients to their appointments/ outings/social events/shopping assistance.
  • Companionship and social support.
  • Supporting clients in decision making and networking with various groups to develop their interests and pursuing their goals.
  • Creatively plan the activities of the clients based on their interests
  • Our requirements:
  • Cert III, IV in Disability/ Diploma in community service/psychology
  • Experience with mental health, complex and challenging behaviours, and high physical support needs will be highly regarded.
  • A current Australian Drivers Licence and an insured vehicle.
  • Working with Vulnerable Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • NDIS check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Manual Handling training and certificate.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with our clients and to support their individual care plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Right to work in Australia.

Hours of Work:

  • Hours are flexible in accordance with NDIS participants and can accommodate the applicant’s requirements
