Requirements for this role:
We are currently seeking committed, energetic and resilient individuals to join our team as casual support workers. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and thrive in a flexible, person-centered environment.
About the role
As a support worker, you will provide high-quality, individualised support to NDIS participants. You will be working with people with a range of needs, including psychosocial disability, assisting them with daily living, community access, and personal goals while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking applicants who are:
Energetic, reliable and physically fit
Emotionally resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
Able to support individuals with complex mental health presentations and behaviors of concern
Committed to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Fully available across a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Willing and able to travel across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney regions when required
Preferred experience
Previous experience in disability, mental health or community services
Understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice
Experience in managing or de-escalating challenging behaviors
Essential requirements
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check (NSW)
First Aid and CPR certification
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Full availability and travel flexibility
Desirable
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Community Services, or Mental Health
Completion of NDIS Orientation Module and COVID-19 Infection Control training
