Honour Care is currently seeking a reliable, patient and engaging Support Worker to support a young NDIS participant in the Ipswich area.

The participant requires approximately 17 hours of support per week, with a combination of regular support .

Support may include:

• Assistance with daily living activities
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Community access and social participation
• Building independence and daily living skills
• Respite care
• Providing consistent emotional and practical support
• Supporting the participant to maintain routines and engage in meaningful activities

The participant has mental health-related support needs and an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). We are therefore looking for someone who is calm, understanding, reliable and able to build a positive and respectful working relationship with a younger participant.

Experience supporting people with mental health, psychosocial disability, ABI or complex support needs would be highly regarded.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant disability/support work experience
• Is patient, respectful and non-judgemental
• Can encourage independence while providing appropriate support
• Is confident with meal preparation and community-based support
• Can provide consistent weekly availability
• Is comfortable providing respite support when required
• Holds or is willing to obtain the relevant NDIS worker requirements/checks

Hours: Approximately 17 hours per week

Location: Ipswich area, QLD

Employment: Casual

Start: As soon as a suitable worker is identified
