About you

You're a people person with a passion for delivering high-quality support. You take pride in helping NDIS participants achieve their personal goals and live with dignity and independence.

We are looking for both male and female support workers who have experience in the disability sector and are committed to providing person-centered care.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for ten full-time positions based in Townsville, Ingham and surrounding areas. You will support participants with high physical, intellectual, and/or mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:

· Personal care: showering, grooming, dressing, and medication assistance

· Domestic support: light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation

· Community access & transport: attending appointments, social outings, grocery shopping

· Monitoring & reporting: tracking participant progress and reporting concerns

· Effective communication with participants, families, and team members

· Behavioural support for individuals with complex or high-intensity needs

Shifts include weekdays, evenings, weekends, overnights, and sleepovers. Supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs and high intensity participants

Successful applicants must possess:

· NDIS Workers Screening or ability to obtain before commencing employment https://workerscreening.communities.qld.gov.au

· Completed NDIS Worker Orientation 'Quality, Safety and You Module https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course

· Current First Aid Certificate and CPR

· Current, valid paid Blue Card

· Current Queensland driver's licence or international driver's licence (that permits use in QLD)

· Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (business or professional use listed clearly & Commercial registration not private)

· Smart Phone with internet access

Desirable qualities:

· Experience working in the disability sector

· Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification

· Ability to work well as part of a team

· Strong communication & confidentiality skills

· Ability to use various smartphone apps for rostering, shift notes and communication

· Excellent initiative and time management skills

· Emotional intelligence – understanding of your own integrity, values, and belief system
