JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for energised and engaging Disability Support Workers to join award winning Mercy Connect Limited. As a recipient of the Telstra Best of Business State Award- winning the Championing Health/Embracing Innovation we have new and exciting services and programs to offer people with disability. We are expanding and looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who have strong interest in working people with disability, including children and young adults.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Availability for shiftwork on a rotating 4 week roster, including sleepovers, active nights and weekends.

Must have all the below documents prior to commencement:

  • A current drivers licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children’s Check NSW
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Responsibilities

As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist people who have a disability with daily living tasks and community inclusion and participation activities. A wide range of tasks are undertaken in the context of supporting the person to maintain their mental and physical wellbeing, explore opportunities and work towards agreed outcomes that are important to, and for, the person. The position in Cowra requires experience DSW’s preferably with Epilepsy training.
