Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: $79,000–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Aged or Disabled Carer / Disability Support Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility, transfers and the use of mobility equipment.
  • Prepare meals and assist clients with eating where required.
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and general household tasks.
  • Assist clients with shopping, appointments, transport and community activities.
  • Support clients to develop and maintain independence in their daily lives.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Follow individual care plans, NDIS plans and behaviour support strategies.
  • Monitor clients’ wellbeing and report any changes or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports and client records.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers and other support professionals.
  • Follow workplace health and safety, infection control and safeguarding procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or a related field.
  • At least 12 months of relevant experience supporting people with disability, older people or individuals requiring personal care.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People registration.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
  • Access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills.
  • A compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach.
