KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold a relevant certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in a field related to disability support, or be actively pursuing relevant qualifications. OR Have at least 3 months of experience in supporting people with disability.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • National Police Check within the last 12 months.
  • A valid and current drivers’ licence, and your own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviours (highly desired).
  • Experience in complex care, such as PEG feeding (highly desired).

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $43.11 – $47.24 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Promoting independence and assisting people with disability in their daily routines such as household chores, personal care, meal preparation, and engaging in skill-building exercises.
  • Implementing and following individualised plans (e.g. behaviour support plans, mobility plans) and employing a trauma-informed lens.
  • Supporting people with disability to community events, appointments and social outings.
  • Administering medication (training provided).
  • Writing high quality and accurate shift notes. (training provided).
  • Fulfilling our core values Responsive, Caring, Honest, and Creative in your everyday support.
