Client Support:

  • Provide safe, caring, and culturally appropriate support tailored to each client’s strengths and needs.
  • Assist with personal care, domestic tasks (including yard work), social support, and transport as per shift and support plans.
  • Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours while maintaining client dignity.
  • Respect and maintain client and staff confidentiality.

Operational Duties:

  • Follow daily shift plans and support documents accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment following OH&S standards.
  • Identify and manage risks and hazards during duties.

Organisational Commitment:

  • Uphold GLDS values, policies, and service agreements with external providers.
  • Promote effective communication within the team.
  • Participate in performance appraisals and professional development.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records including client notes, communication books, and reports.
  • Support data collection and reporting processes in line with organisational standards.

Team Involvement:

  • Attend meetings, supervision, and training as directed.
  • Perform shift duties as rostered.
  • Assist with other tasks and special duties when required

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

We’re looking for casual and permanent part-time Support Workers in Redcliffe and surrounding suburbs to join our team. Whether you’ve done this before or you’re new and passionate about helping others — we’d love to hear from you.


What you will be doing

No two days are the same — you’ll be supporting people to live independently and do the things that matter to them.

This could include:

  • Personal care (showering, dressing, toileting)
  • Helping with meals, cleaning and daily tasks
  • Supporting someone to get out into the community
  • Attending appointments or social activities
  • Medication support
  • Assisting with mobility (including hoists where required)

Shifts available

Shifts are available across a variety of times, and we will work with you to build a permanent roster that suits your availability.

  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willing to obtain)
