Disability Support Worker – Casual & Part-Time

Mornington Peninsula | Person-Centred Support | Community & Home Care

At Simply Helping, we support people with disability to live with greater independence, dignity, choice and confidence in their everyday lives.

We are currently expanding our workforce across the Mornington Peninsula and are looking for experienced, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers who can provide high-quality, person-centred support.

Priority Hiring Areas

We are particularly seeking carers who can work in and around:

• Rye
• Rosebud
• Fingal
• Blairgowrie
• Sorrento
• Flinders
• McCrae
• Dromana
• Tootgarook
• Capel Sound
• Safety Beach
• Mount Martha
• Other nearby Mornington Peninsula suburbs

Applicants who are local to these areas or comfortable travelling between nearby clients will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in line with individual care plans and client goals
• Assist with personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, transport and community access
• Support clients to build independence and daily living skills
• Encourage social and recreational participation
• Promote dignity, choice and client decision-making
• Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Community Services
• Minimum 6 months’ relevant disability support experience
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, Police Check, First Aid and CPR
• Completed NDIS Worker Orientation and Infection Prevention & Control training
• Valid Australian Driver Licence
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Smartphone and confidence using digital systems
• Strong communication, reliability and professional boundaries

Pay: $34.00 – $38.00 per hour
