Position: Disability Support Worker

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking for a mature male experienced Support Workers to support clients with community access.
Location: South of the river
Shifts: morning and afternoon shift.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and ensuring the well-being of those in their care.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience at least 2 years in supporting people with disabilities with complex support needs in especially people with Dementia and good understanding of the impact it has on individual.
Availability: Must be available for morning and afternoon shifts (Mondays to Fridays)
Qualifications: Certificate 3 in disability support or related discipline.
· Full Australian Driving License and reliable car with comprehensive insurance cover.
· NDIS worker screening certificate.
· Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
· National police check issued within the last 6 months.
· Working with Children Check
Attributes: Confident, Compassionate, patient, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Personal Qualities: Creative, motivated, enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and a calm, focused approach to problem-solving.
Approach: Understand the choice and control of people with disabilities, person-centred approach, and familiar with NDIS.
Consistency: Understand the importance of consistency and the ability to follow the individual’s support plan.
Communication Skills: Fluent in English, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and proficient in case noting and report writing.
