REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the complexity of our participant, successful candidates must have prior experience working with complex care clients - which includes experience with:

  • Hoisting
  • Bowel therapy (twice morning and night)
  • Catheter Management
  • Manual Handling
  • Skin checks (prone to pressure wounds)
  • Community access (lives close to a train station)
  • Domestic assistance

Current Roster: Please note: flexibility with shifts is required.

Monday to Sunday

  • Shift 1: 9:30AM - 11:30AM (2 hours)
  • Shift 2: 8:00PM - 10:00PM (2 hours)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Experience with spinal cord injuries / brain injury or other high complex care participants
  • Experience with catheter management
  • Experience with bowel care OR willing to learn
  • Prior experience with pressure injuries
  • Hoist / transfers
  • Australian Driver License & motor vehicle
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module

We are seeking experienced supports worker to assist our male client in Murarrie, QLD. This role is available on a casual, on-going basis and will commence ASAP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personal care duties
  • Assistance with bowel therapy

  • Daily skin checks
  • Catheter Management
  • Pressure wound management
  • Assistance with domestic tasks
