KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 12 months work experience as a support worker in Australia
  • Completed Cert 3/4 Individual Support/Disability or equivalent
  • Must be available for morning, afternoon, sleepover shifts and active nights
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check number
  • Current Medication Administration Certificate and evidence of 6-months experience
  • Fully vaccinated with Covid vaccination/Booster and Flu
  • Manual Handling Certificate and evidence of 6-months experience
  • Working With Children Check
  • Current Drivers licence with reliable transport
  • It is desirable that you have flexibility to obtain a minimum of 3 shifts or more on a regular weekly basis

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to build their independence, develop daily living skills, and participate in their communities. You will be provided the opportunity to work within multiple teams and environments, which will increase your knowledge, skillset and capacity as you expand on your career within the disability sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supporting clients with personal care, domestic duties, and meal preparation
  • Assisting with community participation, social outings, and recreational activities
  • Helping clients achieve their individual goals and enhance their independence
  • Documenting daily progress and reporting any concerns
  • Working collaboratively with care teams and other staff
