Seeking a female support worker to support clients with a disability in the Canberra region and surrounds.

Duties included but not limited to:

• Personal care
• Shopping
• Transportation (wheelchair etc)
• Support in the community
• Domestic assistance

Day Shifts ONLY:

• Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm
• no weekends or overnights
• Relief work

Documents required

• Minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in disability
• Must have at least 1 year experience in Mental health and disability
• Fluent English both verbal and written
• Working With Vulnerable people check (WWVP Card)
• Police check
• Current First Aid certificate or willing to update.
• Current Driver’s license
• Must have a reliable car with comprehensive car insurance. You will be paid mileage for transporting on shift.
• Be fully vaccinated

What we need from you:

• Be able to travel between shifts when required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be mature, reliable and have excellent work ethic, with strong values around duty of care.
• Experience with wheel chair transfers
• A desire to provide personal centered care and the ability to connect with clients so that you are welcomed into their homes.
• You must be eligible to work in Australia
