ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and patient people to support our clients in living their best lives, across both our Rocherlea Community Centre and Supported Independent Living teams. Our clients enjoy being active, so that means playing footy and getting in the pool for a swim. They also enjoy listening to music, watching DVDs, gaming and spending time with their pets. They require support in meeting their everyday needs, including communication, household duties, health-related issues, community access, personal hygiene and behavioural support.
Our clients enjoy being active and are best supported by workers who possess a naturally calm and mature demeanour, have a high level of physical fitness, and are experienced in supporting people with complex behaviours, medication needs, and mental health challenges. You will also be responsible for completing mandatory reporting and administrative duties.
Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts.
