Position Description Provide technical expertise for Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Design subgroup, supervision, and coordination for certain designated projects. Essential Functions Development of design/drafting procedures and standards pertaining to I&E Design Group. Development of workflow procedures to improve productivity on I&E Design deliverables. Investigation of new software pertaining to I&E Design discipline. Training of new design/drafting I&E Design personnel. Assistance In interviewing potential I&E Design candidates. Coordination of I&E Design efforts on small projects including interface with project management, work assignments and project reporting. Assistance to large project Design Coordinators (when requested) in troubleshooting problem areas relating to I&E Design discipline. Assist in developing performance evaluations for the I&E Design discipline. Assist in overall ranking of the I&E discipline designers. Assign I&E Design personnel to projects. #LI-RG1 Requirements Qualifications Knowledge of CAD and computer systems. 15 or more years of experience in an I&E drafting environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards by discipline. Education High school diploma. Associate's degree or certification from technical trade school preferred. Competencies Problem-solving skills Results oriented Customer focused Excellent oral and written communication skills Work Environment/Physical Demands Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
