Magdalena Law Group, an award-winning law firm based in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Discovery Paralegal to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. We specialize in family law and criminal law, and we’re looking for someone who thrives on challenging, impactful work and wants to contribute to our clients’ success.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience with legal drafting, responding to discovery, and calendaring deadlines under CCP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
- Experience with Google Suite, Clio Grow, Clio Draft is a plus.
- Expert-level PC and Mac user.
- High attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience completing declarations of disclosure in California family court cases.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, respond to, and analyze discovery under the California Discovery Act (interrogatories, RFPs, RFAs, subpoenas, notice of deposition, etc.).
- Draft and respond to meet and confer letters.
- Draft and respond to motions to compel and prepare proposed orders.
- Prepare judicial council forms and manage declarations of disclosure (preferred).
- Calendar critical deadlines and ensure compliance under CCP.
- Provide excellent client service and collaborate with attorneys to prepare case materials.
