We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Dishwash Supervisor to join our growing team in Detroit!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in related fields.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in management (preferred).
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems(preferred).
  • Food Safety Certification (preferred).
  • Proactive and self-organized
  • Ability to manage through a substantial workload.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Safety Data Sheets and Chemical Supplier Specifications are current and available for all chemicals.
  • Guarantee necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and that staff are properly trained on its usage.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Verify Chemical Titrations with Chemical Supplier and conduct daily concentration checks of dispensing equipment.
  • Analyze sanitation data to identify improvement opportunities and monitor hygiene training for staff development.
  • Oversee dishroom operations and ensure smooth operation in the department
  • Audits and Inspections:
  • Provide support during customer audits, health department inspections, and other scheduled or unscheduled assessments.
  • Implement and maintain daily sanitation schedules.
  • Coordinate with Food Safety and Hygiene teams on Environmental Testing and develop the Environmental Testing Program.
  • Training and Development:
  • Collaborate with supervisors and HR to deliver new hire orientation, retraining, and annual training for staff on hygiene protocols.
  • Oversee employee and client training on proper sanitation protocols.
  • Create and implement appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SSOPs.
  • Conduct training sessions as necessary and investigate accidents, preparing required reports.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and maintain, review, and report quality performance.
