POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. This includes washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, as well as ensuring that the dish area and surrounding kitchen spaces remain organized and safe. The Dishwasher plays an important role in supporting kitchen staff and ensuring smooth food service operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is an asset but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with food handling and preparation techniques is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all items are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored in designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing station, sinks, and surrounding kitchen areas.
  • Empty garbage and recycling bins as needed and follow proper disposal guidelines.
  • Sweep and mop floors in dishwashing and kitchen areas to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
  • Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies when required.
  • Handle kitchen equipment carefully and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist kitchen staff with light prep work or other duties as directed by management.
