BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The position of Dishwasher is a valuable asset to the Café Postino team. The duties of a dishwasher are indispensable to success. Dishwashing includes cleaning dishes and flatware and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and restaurant. Health and safety are highly important for food preparation.
Dishwashers are responsible for preventing as much contamination as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

 High school diploma or equivalent
 Previous dishwashing or hospitality experience is a plus
 Passion for hospitality and customer service
 Self-motivated with a high energy level
 Excellent communication skills
 Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
 Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as needed

 Collaborate with the team to maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow health and safety guidelines
 Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
 Disinfect all prep surfaces, slicers and kitchen equipment after use
 Properly sort, wash, and sanitize soiled dishes, cutlery, glassware, and cookware
 Change water of machines and sinks ensuring proper chemical levels are maintained
 Assist in timely storing of food deliveries
 Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift
 Maintain dry storage area and organization of storage shelves
 Assist chef with requested duties as needed
 Sweep and mop throughout the shift as needed and ensure a thorough clean is completed at end of the shift
 Wipe down walls and machines
