Description As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring food preparation equipment is clean and sanitary. The steward’s duties include, but are not limited to; washing dishes, pots, pans, and glassware (both by hand and automated machine), removing trash and recycling from the facility, cleaning appliances and machines, and other duties as assigned by management. Responsibilities Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards for culinary operations, equipment, and tools. Maintain a safe and sanitary workstation. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and glassware using a machine and by hand. Perform deep cleaning on equipment and within the facility itself as assigned. Report any malfunctioning equipment, cleaning tool needs, or chemicals necessary. Remove trash and recycling from the facility, and cleaning waste collection bins Sweep, mop, and scrub floors. Requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills Willingness to comply with all food safety requirements Must be able to work nights and weekends Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. (Shifts can vary up to 10 hours or double shift) Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height.
