Sheraton Four Points Newton, MA, is currently hiring for a Utility Kitchen Person position. Utility Kitchen Person is responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment for F&B preparation and storage as well as provides clean service ware and utensils for the entire F&B operation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Service * Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation * Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests’ needs * Committed to making every guest is satisfied * Meets or exceeds guest satisfaction measures * Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service * Implements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Gulph Creek Hotel Standards Utility Kitchen Person Operations * Maintain a sanitary environment for F&B preparation and storage as well as provide clean service ware and utensils for the entire F&B operation.  * Adhere to established standards of safety, productivity and performance. * Perform dish and equipment washing and silver polishing activities.  * Maintain the cleanliness of the back of house areas, which include main kitchen, storage areas, dumpsters, walk-in, staff dining room,  * Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of house equipment.  * Anticipate needs of chefs and aid in transport of food and plate-up.  * Assist management in any other manner deemed necessary for the well-being of the operation * Must adhere to the company employee handbook at all times * Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner. * Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Gulph Creek Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.  * Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.  * Comply at all times with Gulph Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. * Other duties as required * Working in a professional manner at all times and maintaining a clean work area.
