Position: Dishwasher Part Time General Description: The Dishwasher will ensure that the dining areas, kitchen, kitchen supplies and equipment are cleaned at the end of the day. Principal Duties: 1. Participate in training as it relates to the requirements and duties of the job 2. Clean up after meals and special food functions. 3. Cleaning of all kitchen equipment and utensils. 4. Maintenance of kitchen orderliness and cleanliness (including sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal). Detailing cleaning projects will be part of this job to include the grease traps, stove hoods, walls, floors, cooking utensils, etc. 5. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the program 6. Must be able to lift 50 pounds 7. Help with Food Bank runs including putting inventory away. 8. Other duties as required by Food Service Manager or other Directors of the Agency. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Some experience working in the food service industry is a plus. License Requirements: Valid driver’s license is helpful but not required. Home or cell phone is required Other: Must demonstrate sensitivity toward the Program’s target population, and ability to comfortably and effectively relate to individuals of diverse backgrounds, and be respectful of cultural differences. Must be responsible, non-judgmental able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a strong commitment to personal and professional ethics and standards.
