Description *Disclaimer* This is a limited part-time position on a set schedule that will have a hybrid day working as a server in our Deli Market. The dishwashing schedule is Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The deli server day is flexible and can be either 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. This position will be scheduled a total of 3 days per week Job Summary Washes and stores all pots, pans, and utensils in the proper manner, maintains area floors, walls and equipment. Responsibilities (Dishwasher) Operates dishwashing machine, making sure it is in proper working condition and reports dishwashing machine problems to the appropriate supervisor. Scrapes all pans and pre-washes before putting into washing machine. When washing is completed, empties tank, cleans inside and out with soapy water. Washes pots by hand using prescribed amounts of soap and disinfectant. Ensures all food, grease, and residue is removed. Changes water as needed for best results. Air-dries all items before storing. Stores in neat fashion and rotates stock so all items are used regularly. Maintains pot and pan storage area including surrounding floors and walls. Maintains a sanitary workstation. Helps keep kitchen area clean and helps keep trash off the floor. Sweeps, washes or mops entire Market Kitchen floor as directed and before end of shift. Removes all trash to appropriate areas. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities (Deli Server) Greets and serves customers promptly and courteously. Handles all hot and cold foods appropriately during preparation and service, ensures proper sanitation practices occur continually. Maintains appropriate portion control and merchandising standards during service. Maintains post check out area. Cleans equipment as assigned thoroughly and in a timely manner. Monitors customer buying trends and makes relevant recommendations to supervisor for product additions and deletions. Accurately inventories supplies daily and requisitions items needed to meet par levels. Ensures all food and supplies are stored under proper conditions, covered, labeled, and dated. Stocks retail area, assists Cooks with display refrigerators and salad bar. Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively as per standards. Informs cooks in a timely manner when food quantities are low. Relays relevant comments from customers directly to supervisor. Maintains standard operating procedures in accordance with company policy, guidelines and outside licensed and certification authorities. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc. Requirements Education And Experience (E = Essential D = Desired) High school education or equivalent or current enrollment required Physical Requirements Bending Reading Walking Carrying 50 lbs.
