Description JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for properly loading, unloading dishes and other kitchen equipment. Maintains kitchen workstation cleanliness and follows established procedures and directions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Use all cleaning chemicals properly Safely and correctly operate all equipment Clean and sanitize all dishware and kitchenware Physically walk dishes and other kitchen equipment back and forward to the dishwasher Sort and stock clean dishes, pots, pans, glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils Empty all kitchen trash cans or bins and make trash runs to the dumpster Clean and maintain workstations dish areas, floors, walls, and drains Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Requirements GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have strength to carry heavy load. Must have speed and accuracy in order to maintain maximum efficiency. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team member. Must read, write, speak, and understand English. DEMANDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: PHYSICAL & MENTAL: Must be able to operate the dish machine. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must present a well groomed appearance. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to use the following chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen areas: bleach, pine-sol, oven cleaner, etc. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen and food service areas. Must be able to tolerate areas with high temperature in excess of 115 degrees near dish machine.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility involves the proper loading and unloading of dishes and kitchen equipment, ensuring all items are cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures.
