Each interaction with workshop participants, faculty and fellow staff members, creates the Omega experience.  Job Description Dishwasher, Non Residential: non-exempt, full-time; on average 35 hours per week. Reports to Dishwasher Utility Supervisor. Summary Omega Food & Beverage is a large full-scale food production facility.  It produces up to 2500 mostly plant-based meals per day as well as a breads and desserts for both the Dining Hall and Café.  All dishwashers are directly accountable to the Dishwasher Utility Supervisor and Dining Hall Management.  Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Maintain & clear dishes from dish return window during meals. * Maintain & clear dish wash counter area during the shift. * Rinse and rack items to be sent through machine. * Operate dish machine as directed by Supervisor. * Replenish soap and rinse as directed by Supervisor. * Return cleaned items to correct storage spaces. * Organize storage spaces as needed. * Alert Supervisor to any issues preventing them from completing job assignments. * Wash, rinse & sanitize large kitchen items in pot wash area as directed by Supervisor. * Maintaining cleanliness of dish area & pot wash. * Check in with Dining Hall & Kitchen management before closing down the dishwasher area. * Turn off, drain, disassemble & clean dish machine as directed by Supervisor. * Clear, wash & sanitize dishwasher counter area. * Remove mats, sweep & mop dishwash area. * Provide support to other kitchen stations as needed (including Dining hall and Kitchen Prep). * Requires working around knives and hot steam; carrying hot pans * Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Supervisory Responsibility * This position functions in Omega's Dining Hall/Kitchen on the Omega Campus. * This is a full-time position, 35 hours a week. Weekend and evening availability are required. Schedules may vary based on operational needs, and flexibility is essential to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and events. Physical Requirements * Ability to frequently move items that weigh 30-50lbs for various needs. * Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time * Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions * Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary * Ability to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. Responsibilities
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the dish area, operating the dish machine, and supporting other kitchen stations as needed. They must also communicate any issues to the Supervisor and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
