Key Responsibilities: Strategic and Financial Responsibilities Inventory Management Efficient Equipment Use Operational Responsibilities Supporting Kitchen Efficiency Food Safety Compliance Adherence to Safety Procedures Customer Service Responsibilities Consistency in Food Quality Maintaining Clean and Sanitary Utensils Education & Qualifications: Certifications in food safety and sanitation, such as ServSafe or Safe Food Handling High School Diploma or Equivalent Physical Stamina and Endurance-ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks in a hot and demanding kitchen environment Desirable - Culinary School or Vocational Training Experience: Kitchen Experience: Previous experience working in a kitchen setting is highly beneficial for line cooks. This may include positions such as prep cook, dishwasher, kitchen assistant, or other entry-level kitchen roles. Desirable - Previous experience in a high volume restaurant. Skills & Competencies: Attention to Detail: Dishwashers need to ensure that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Attention to detail is crucial to spot and remove any food residue or stains. Time Management: Dishwashers often work in fast-paced environments where they need to manage their time efficiently to keep up with the flow of dirty dishes and utensils. Knowledge of Safety Procedures: Dishwashers should be familiar with safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. This includes proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Technological Proficiency Use of Dishwashing Equipment: Dishwashers should be proficient in operating various types of dishwashing equipment, including commercial dishwashers, conveyor belts, and pot washers.
