OVERVIEW The primary responsibility assigned to this position is to scrape, wash, and sort dishes and other food containers and return them to their proper place of storage. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES · Prepare dishwashing machines for use · Prepare all dirty dishes, silverware, glasses and other food containers for processing through the dishwashing machine · Organize, stack and return all clean dishes to proper areas · Polish all silver on a regular or as needed basis · Clean dish machines, steam pots and griddles, etc. · Clean floors and walk-ins and other kitchen areas as requested by the Chef · Communicate on a regular basis with all kitchen and food service staff · Report to appropriate supervisor any needs, concerns or suggestions · Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
