Our client, a logistics warehouse, is looking for an operations associate to assist the current manger in day-to-day duties. This role is located in the west end of Ottawa. If you are looking to join an established team, feel free to apply!

SKILLS

• 4 Years of LTL City Truck Experience
• 4 Years Courier Dispatch Experience
• 2 Years of Customer Service Experience
• Knowledge of GPS systems, Elog (i.e. Geotab, Isaac, etc.) and extremely strong geographic knowledge of Ottawa and greater Ottawa Area and Gatineau highways and roads.
• Good understand truck equipment and required compliance procedures
• Ability to learn with minimal training.
• Positive attitude and eager to learn and grow.
• Holds a valid DZ license

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday

• Support the Operations team with scheduling work and dispatch drivers accordingly in an efficient manner.
• End of day review and schedule next day assignments
• · Organize routes and workloads based on urgency, location, and truck availability
• Fill in to dispatch on the courier board when needed
• Oversee drivers’ daily assigned loads and routes and ensure timely completion; verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation including, but not limited to, PODs, BOL and carrier confirmation.
• Handle escalated customer concerns/questions/inquiries as required
