Position Overview:
Crane Service Inc., a leader in lifting and rigging solutions, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support our operations team. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring accurate labor, equipment, and materials coordination to drive daily field performance. This position requires strong scheduling and communication skills, along with a proactive mindset for solving logistical challenges and aligning resources across departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules for field personnel and equipment.
  • Review resource schedules with Operations Managers for alignment and approval.
  • Communicate with field employees to confirm current and upcoming assignments.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to anticipate and prepare for future job requirements.
  • Partner with the fleet/service team to align maintenance needs with equipment availability.

LEM Ticket Management

  • Issue daily LEM (Labor, Equipment, Materials) tickets to field crews.
  • Review and validate time entries using daily KPA reports; ensure accuracy for billing.
  • Approve time entries and audit tickets to correct discrepancies and inaccuracies.
  • Collaborate with Senior Field Leaders and Operations Managers to resolve time tracking or scheduling issues.

Equipment and Resource Coordination

  • Track employee time-off requests; evaluate operational impact and recommend approval or denial to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain records of rented equipment at job sites.
  • Ensure proper unit number assignments and resource tracking across all projects; verify assignments with Depot Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, or operations coordination.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools and reporting systems; experience with job costing or LEM systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position is based in one of our local branch offices; no remote or hybrid work is available.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and communicating with team members.
  • Occasional visits to yard or field sites may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
