Description General Description Summary The Dispatch Lead is responsible for managing daily transportation logistics with third-party carriers to ensure the timely, safe, and efficient movement of goods. This role serves as the primary point of contact for dispatching exceptions and emergencies and is a hands-on position that includes scheduling trucks, coordinating with carriers, and tracking shipments from origin to delivery across manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and tolling partners throughout the Americas Retardants (U.S.) network. This position requires flexibility and extended availability during fire season, with efforts made to balance workload during the off-season to support work-life balance. Success in this role requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain accurate and responsive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The Dispatch Lead plays a critical role in strengthening and advancing the dispatch function while conducting all company-related activities in a professional, safe, and efficient manner, in full compliance with Perimeter Solutions’ EH&S policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (not in any priority): Coordinate and dispatch inbound and outbound transportation operations, primarily unplanned, to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery. Schedule, monitor, and manage daily truckloads across manufacturing facilities, warehouses, tolling partners, and inter-/intra-company transfers. Maintain real-time visibility of shipments and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and emergency situations. Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party carriers and transportation partners, managing performance and service-level issues. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Production, and Customer Service teams to align transportation activities with operational priorities. Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of shipping data, documentation, and delivery confirmations in ERP and logistics systems. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and damages in a timely and professional manner. Monitor transportation performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and cost. Recommend and support process improvements to optimize dispatch operation s and carrier performance. Perform other related duties as required to support transportation and logistics operations. Preferred Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with logistics software, transportation management systems, and ERP platforms. Familiarity with OSHA requirements and environmental compliance regulations. Shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the company’s products and services. Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies Work Environment and Physical Demands: Position is based in a manufacturing site environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Extended work hours may be required during period-end closing and peak fire season. Availability for after-hours support when business needs require. Role may involve moderate physical and mental stress due to the nature of operations. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, operational environment. Requirements Required Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or dispatch operations. Strong knowledge of freight scheduling, carrier management, and shipment documentation. Availability to manage logistics during business hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support. Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt quickly to changing operational needs. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while delivering consistent, high-quality results. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.). Willingness to work overtime as required and travel to company locations as needed.
