RACQ Dispatch Officer We’re offering a short-term secondment opportunity for a Dispatch Officer, ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience and support the delivery of high-quality assistance services to our members and customers. As a Dispatch Officer, you will play an important role in coordinating both internal and external service providers to ensure timely and effective roadside and assistance support. About the Role In this position, you will: Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Apply effective telephone techniques in a fast-paced environment Use empathy, active listening, and sound interpersonal skills Manage scheduling, rostering, time prioritisation, and performance targets Apply problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills Navigate systems, email, and digital tools with confidence Take initiative when managing unfamiliar or complex situations Manage commercial interactions over the phone in a contact centre environment Work on-site at Eight Mile Plains for 50%25 of your rostered shifts About You We are looking for someone who can bring: Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and telephone channels Excellent organisational ability, including scheduling, prioritising tasks, and meeting targets Confident computer literacy and comfort working across multiple systems Adaptability and initiative when encountering unique or challenging scenarios Experience in contact centres, dispatch, or field resource coordination Familiarity with RACQ operations or Fleet services (highly regarded) A people-focused approach, with solid interpersonal skills and the ability to problem-solve effectively Why join RACQ?
