ABOUT US:

TST-CF express is a division of TFI International Inc., located in Mississauga, is currently recruiting for a Dispatch Supervisor.
Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, dispatching and managing of Toronto City Fleet. The candidate will have industry experience, preferably within a unionized environment.
Shift Hours : 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a transportation dispatch environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual in French is an asset)
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Gmail and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours (afternoons, evenings and weekends) as necessary
  • High School or equivalent
  • Ministry of Transportation regulations
  • Knowledge of Transportation Operating Systems

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations in the P&D Dispatch Department.
  • Planning and forecasting of daily pick and delivery volumes.
  • Dispatching functions related to booking pickups and deliveries for clients
  • Ensure that service levels meet and or exceed the needs of our customers
  • Review operational efficiencies and effect change as necessary in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
  • Recommend, implement and maintain performance and productivity measurements
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers in order to resolve service issues in a timely manner and providing customers with status updates
  • Schedule repairs and maintenance for equipment.
  • Ensure Drivers and Carriers follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures for example: HOS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc.
  • Completion of daily reports
  • Other duties as assigned
