Description

Dispatcher is responsible for the receiving and dispatching of requests for patient and student transfers in an effective and efficient manner.
Responsible for preparing and issuing invoices to the clients and ensuring payment for invoices are received from clients.
Responds in a timely manner to requests for patient and student transport requests received by phone, email, text messages or the Angels Patient Transportation website.
Provides the Angels Patient Transportation drivers by phone and/or text and provides the necessary patient and transfer information.
Establish and maintains a daily schedule of patient and student transportation requests and ensures that the schedule is up to date and shared in a timely manner with the drivers.
Responds to all inquiries received on the status of patient/student transfers.
Communicates effectively and in a professional manner with the clients (patient, student, healthcare staff, school teachers/staff,parents)
Ensures that the appropriate billing information on each patient and student transportation is collected and provided to Angels Billing agent in a timely manner.
Follows up with patients/students when billing and other transportation information is lacking, or changes in schedules.
Billing Agent Duties:
Prepare and issue invoices to clients based on transportation service provided, ensuring all the necessary details are included on the invoice.
Respond in a timely fashion to all billing inquiries from clients and ensure accurate information is provided.
Track the status of all invoices (e.g. payment received) issued to clients on a monthly basis.
Follow up monthly with clients for outstanding invoices issued and not paid and alert management if there are concerns/issues.
Provide accountant with bank statements monthly.
Maintain an accurate and current listing of clients, including email addresses and contact information.
Statutory holidays as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must provide a clean vulnerable sector check from the local police service (e.g. Ottawa)
Must provide a current immunization record (including Tetanus, Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, Poliomyelitis, COVID)
Bilingualism is a must.
Effective oral and written communication skills are essential.
Must be a compassionate and caring person.
Customer service driven.
A professional attitude under all circumstances.
Punctual and reliable.
Must wear employer supplied uniform and identification badge.
