Brian Kurtz Trucking Ltd has been in business for over 40 years! We are an award winning, family owned and operated TL and LTL carrier specializing in temperature controlled and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
We are seeking a Dispatcher with 3 or more year’s verifiable experience in a similar environment. If you use common sense, have the knowhow, dedication and the drive to do what it takes to get the job done…we would like to speak with you.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Liaise with customers, carriers, and drivers, booking and dispatching freight via satellite, email and by phone.
• Ensuring freight is booked to fully utilize and move equipment efficiently..
• Booking loads from Load Link.
• Communicate internally and with customers, drivers and fellow workers.
• Brokering freight as required.
• Assist with Order Entry.
• Participate in dispatch and company improvement meetings.
• Assist with ACE and ACI in all aspects of dispatch when needed.
• Cooperate with C-TPAT, PIP and FAST requirements within the dispatch environment.
• Others duties as required.
• Participate in occasional weekend & holiday coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with LTL freight is a definite asset.
• Familiarity with Dispatch Software (TransPlus, PC Miler, Isaac).
• Solid understanding of Canadian and American geography.
• Knowledge of ACE/ACI and Customs/Border Crossing would be beneficial.
• Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional Interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
• Strong Attention to detail.
• Creative and effective problem solving ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
