Duties may include: Answering incoming calls, administrative, non-emergency, and emergency Professional etiquette Promptly ascertain proper levels of response. Triage calls and enter data into computer system. Data Entry with critical attention to details. Constantly monitoring the dispatch system. Ensure units are en-route. Post moves in a timely fashion. Ensure other unites are within acceptable distance. Communicate appropriate routing instructions. Assist with routine maintenance of Communication Center. Investigate and report all time exceptions. Complete and submit daily reports. Assist in training new personnel. Prerequisites for this position: High school diploma or GED. Highly organized. Accountability, compliance, and teamwork. Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff. Preferred experience or credentials Competitive candidates will have: Minimum 1 year experience with medical terminology preferably with a background in emergency medical transportation. Thorough geographic knowledge of service areas. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; ability to work independently and as a team member. Competent radio communication skills. Responsibilities
The dispatcher will answer incoming calls, triage them, and enter data into the computer system while monitoring the dispatch system. They will also ensure units are en-route and assist with routine maintenance of the Communication Center.
