JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires proficiency in transportation management systems and the ability to analyze data for efficient operations.

SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with 3PL operations is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in using transportation management systems for tracking and scheduling purposes.
  • Ability to analyze data for decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Excellent typing skills for efficient data entry tasks.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes will be beneficial in this role.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to relay information and updates.
  • Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
  • Analyze data related to delivery schedules, routes, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, and demonstrate accurate data entry
  • Handle phone systems professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries from clients and drivers.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
