UPMC Chautauqua Services is seeking a Full-Time Dispatcher – Level I to join our team in Jamestown, NY. This night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) position follows a 4-on/4-off schedule with required weekend and holidays, offering a dynamic opportunity to serve your community when it matters most. As a Dispatcher, you’ll be at the heart of our operations: receiving calls, dispatching personnel and equipment, and scheduling non-emergency transports. Responsibilities Include: Receive and process incoming calls and radio requests for service. Dispatch appropriate resources via radio, phone, or pager. Schedule non-emergency transports for ambulance and wheelchair divisions. Communicate with Crew Chiefs, PSAPs, and public safety entities. Monitor alarm systems and take appropriate action. Maintain accurate data entry in computer-aided dispatch systems. Access mission-critical information for Starflight and MCIs. Ensure proper radio and telephone etiquette at all times. Fill open staffing shifts when needed. Coordinate with security and supervisors regarding transfers and safety. Required: Must attend communications staff meetings as requested. Must have good interpersonal skills. Be able to pleasantly and efficiently handle radio and telephonic calls for service. Must have a working knowledge of basic Windows-based computer programs to include Outlook, Word, and Excel. Frequent contact with 911 Centers, physicians, EMS/Fire Personnel (paid or volunteer), police agencies, aeromedical personnel, MTS Division staff, patients, and families. Preferred: NYS CFR, EMT, medical terminology, or similar medical background. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Must have and maintain CPR for the professional Rescuer (AHA or equivalent) within 30 days.
