DISPATCHER – FULL TIME

Location: Sarnia, ON
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm
Hourly Rate: TBD based on education & experience
MN Mechanical is seeking a highly organized and motivated Dispatcher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers and will play a key role in coordinating our technicians, managing communication, and supporting the office with daily operations.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, phone systems, and other admin tools.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required.
  • Forklift license an asset (not required).
Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming phone calls and emails: answer, screen, take messages, and forward to the appropriate personnel.
  • Gather information from callers, assess situations, and dispatch technicians accordingly.
  • Maintain clear communication with technicians and customers throughout each job.
  • Schedule technicians, balancing timing and locations for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure proper intake of new customers and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
  • Order, track, and receive parts; verify accuracy and coordinate with technicians.
  • Receive deliveries, occasionally using a forklift.
  • Update warranty registrations for new installations.
  • Handle permits/infractions as requested.
  • Maintain health and safety files (safety talks, task cards, vehicle inspections, etc.).
  • Track jobs, ensuring completion and timely submission for billing.
  • Provide general administrative support: data entry, photocopying, scanning, filing, and inventory of office supplies.
