Job Details Job Location: San Antonio TX - SAN ANTONIO,, TX 78219 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $62,400.00 - $62,400.00 Salary Job Shift: Day Job Category: Construction Job Summary: As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating field services for specific lines of business within the company. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accurate, profitable, and timely fulfillment of customer commitments. This role involves effectively managing resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet operational and budgetary goals. You will play a critical role in optimizing efficiency and maintaining high standards of service delivery while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment among team members. Essential Functions: Foster team morale and promote a collaborative work environment. Provide coaching, implement disciplinary actions, and facilitate performance improvement initiatives. Monitor and manage expenditures within assigned budgetary constraints. Effectively communicate work priorities, including scheduling daily assignments. Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Maintain accurate inventory records for materials, products, and vehicles. Uphold Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance standards. Ensure employees maintain and service equipment to meet safety standards. Obtain and sign power permits as required. Verify completed work against contract specifications and payment sheets. Maintain and update Dispatch Log throughout the day. Receive, record COD payments, and confirm transactions with customers. Plan and coordinate routes for the following day's contracts. Prepare Load Sheets and requisitions for materials. Inspect truckloads for accuracy and safety before departure. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises daily assignments and performance of Drivers, Installers and Helpers depending on office size and products/services offered. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is often required. This may range from one to several years depending on the complexity of the role. Understanding of transportation and logistics operations, including familiarity with routes, scheduling, and vehicle operations. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols is essential. Ability to make quick decisions and resolve issues that may arise during dispatch operations. Critical thinking skills are valuable for assessing situations and implementing effective solutions. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
