JOB SUMMARY

The Dispatch Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch department, ensuring efficient coordination of transportation and logistics activities. This position is responsible for managing a team, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining effective communication with clients and carriers to facilitate timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of transportation management systems.

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems; experience with SyteLine is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette skills for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with freight operations and logistics processes.

• Experience working with 3PL providers to optimize logistics solutions.

• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates on shipment status.
• Maintain accurate data entry for all dispatch activities, ensuring records are up-to-date and accessible.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the supply chain process.
• Implement best practices in phone etiquette when interacting with clients and carriers over phone systems.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
