Description

To undertake reception duties for the CAV 24/7 Service and ensure that patients appointments are efficiently and effectively administered.

  • To provide support to the Clinical workforce that provide home visits to patients.
  • To manage workload so that it is evenly dispatched to enable clinicians to attend to patients in a timely manner. Where the service fails to attain the

relevant targets, dispatchers are required to comfort call patients to advise of delays and offer reassurance.

  • To follow Data Protection guidelines as the role provides full access to patient information.
  • The CAV 24/7 Dispatcher and Receptionist will form part of a team who will assist the wider CAV team to provide an effective OOH service,

adhering to accepted policies and procedures. The CAV 24/7 Dispatcher and Receptionist are expected to work in a flexible way ensuring

efficient service delivery.

  • The post holder will be required to cross-cover for other Dispatchers/Receptionists as and when required.
  • The post holder is required to dispatch cases to the relevant areas of the service in a timely manner. Monitor SLA agreements and comfort call

when service demands do not enable all cases to be dealt with within the specified timescales.
