Description
Monitors and responds to all radio communications; dispatches calls for service; provides assistance, direction and information via telephone and radio; enters all relevant data into the department's records management system; provides assistance to the communication specialist as needed; performs special projects as needed which includes training other dispatchers. APCO certification and previous dispatch experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
The dispatcher monitors and responds to radio communications while managing calls for service and maintaining accurate records in the department's system. They also provide assistance to communication specialists and train other dispatchers as needed.
