Description The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the daily scheduling of traffic control flaggers and ensuring timely communication between field staff, supervisors, and operations. This role supports efficient field operations and helps maintain compliance with safety and staffing requirements. Responsibilities: Coordinate and schedule flaggers/guardians for daily assignments, ensuring adequate coverage for all job sites. Maintain detailed records of flagger/guardian assignments, work hours, and other relevant details. Report on the performance and availability of flaggers to ensure staffing needs are met. Act as the primary point of contact between flaggers, supervisors and the operations team. Provide clear instructions and updates on project status, safety protocols, and any changes to the schedule or job requirements. Other job duties as assigned. Regular, reliable on-site attendance Requirements Requirements: Pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment. Have a valid driver's license, good driving record and qualify as a company driver. Be a minimum of 21 years of age. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Qualifications: Previous experience in traffic control or dispatching is preferred but not required. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations. Knowledge of traffic control safety practices, including flagger protocols and equipment, is a plus. Proficient with basic computer programs and dispatching software. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office or field environment. Frequent use of keyboard, mouse, phone and dispatch systems. Ability to lift up to 10-25 lbs. on occasion. Occasional travel may be required to visit project sites.
