A pharmacy in Kwekwe seeks to hire two Dispensary Assistants.


Checklist Of Duties


  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and medical products under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Prepare prescriptions by counting pills, labeling bottles, pricing, and compounding medications as required.
  • Process medical aid claims under NH263 to ensure smooth patient transactions.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and remove any stock with a shelf life of less than 6 months.
  • Conduct thorough investigations on unresolved prescriptions (hanging scripts) to ensure they are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Manage stock orders, deliveries, and proper storage to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns and complaints professionally.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, pharmacy regulations, and best practices.
  • Candidate staying in or willing to relocate to Kwekwe
  • Send a CV with a relevant qualification in Dispensary Assistance or Pharmaceutical Technology.
  • A minimum of 3 years' proven experience in a dispensary or pharmacy environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a busy, high-volume, fast-paced pharmacy setting.
  • At least 5 'O' Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of dispensary operations, pharmacy workflows, and stock management processes.
  • Knowledge of medicine brands, generic medicines, and trade names of medications.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in processing medical aid claims through the Health263 (NH263) system.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and dispensary management systems.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations within a pharmacy environment.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Active team player with the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic working environment.
