We have a vacancy for a Part Time Dispensary / Prescription Clerk to join our friendly and supportive team working 32 hours per week. The shift pattern will be between 8.30am - 6.30pm across four days per week.
This role is based across two sites (Whitecliff Surgery and Child Okeford Surgery) so driving is essential.
As a Dispensary Clerk you would be expected to project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors and deal with queries in a professional, courteous, and efficient way.

Responsibilities
  • Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
  • Co-ordinate repeat prescriptions and provide a responsive, efficient service ensuring service targets are met
  • Respond to queries from patients, internal staff, and external partners in a timely and professional manner
  • Cash handling
  • Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions
  • Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines
  • Handing out prescriptions in accordance with Practice policies
  • Dealing with patients and pharmacies face to face, by phone and email in accordance with practice policies
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post
