About the Role

As a Dispensary Technician , you’ll be an integral part of our team, supporting pharmacists to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the dispensary. Your role involves delivering exceptional customer service, offering health product advice, assisting with health screenings, and maintaining organized dispensary functions. You’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our customers' lives through timely, accurate, and qualified care.

Full time hours: Monday to Friday

Monday : 9-5

Tuesday: 9-5:30

Thursday: 9-5

Friday: 9-5

Key Responsibilities

Dispensary Administration

Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with the PDL Guide to Good Dispensing, ensuring precise scanning of prescriptions and products.

Maximize generic substitution, Priceline Dispensary Program participation, and Pharmacy Practice Incentives (PPIs).

Manage PBS online messages, organize scripts, and ensure timely submission and reconciliation of PBS claims.

Maintain optimal stock levels for dispensary inventory and non-inventory supplies (e.g., Stock, labels, DAA packs, fridge bags, toner, etc.).

Ensure that all dispensary paperwork and computer functions are completed accurately and on time.

Product & Health Service Expertise

Assist customers in choosing the right products by explaining features and benefits tailored to their needs.

Support the pharmacist by providing relevant health information and printing Consumer Medicine Information (CMIs) for all antibiotics and new medications.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our key health and beauty products to better serve our customers.

Exceed customer expectations by offering exceptional service, particularly in the Dispensary, Health, and Professional Services areas.

Create a welcoming environment for customers and ensure a smooth, enjoyable shopping experience.

Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer needs and budgets.

Accurately dispense and assemble prescriptions in accordance with store processes, aiming for a 10-minute waiting time.

Resolve customer concerns professionally or elevate to the manager when necessary.

Skills & Experience

Prior experience in pharmacy dispensing is essential.

A genuine passion for pharmacy and customer service.

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

Excellent grooming and presentation standards.

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

Basic computer skills (Fred Dispense plus, Fred office, Medadvisor, Health Engine, Buy-It-Right, MS Word, Excel, Email).

Certificate II in Community Pharmacy is advantageous but not required.
