Description

Harbury Surgery is looking for a qualified Dispenser to join our small, friendly team. The role is for 37.5 hrs per week, working set shifts. The successful candidate must be able to work between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • must have an NVQ2 or equivalent accredited course in pharmacy services
  • experience of dosette boxes would be beneficial
  • strong communication skills with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals
  • able to use your own initiative with the ability to problem solve issues
  • confidentiality is essential
  • the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when carrying out tasks

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Experience of working in Primary Care/General Practice.
  • Experience of working with the public in a customer service role.
  • Experience of working with EMIS clinical system, Microsoft Office, Word & Excel

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
GCSE English & Maths
NVQ 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent
Desirable
Qualifications in Customer Service

ABOUT US

Harbury Surgery is a proactive, progressive and well established practice spread across 2 sites. Our team of 5 GPs, a Nurse Manager, Practice Nurse, HCA and a wider clinical team that includes Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Health and Well Being Practitioners serve almost 6,000 patients. We are also a training practice with a regular team of registrars, medical students and nursing students year round. We all work together to provide a high standard of care to our patients
Our non-clinical team is comprised of the Practice manager, Assistant practice manager, Dispensary manager, Care Navigator team leader, care navigator team/admin team, secretary team and dispensary.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd April 2025 in the morning.

Responsibilities

Main duties will include processing and dispensing prescriptions, answering queries on the phone and via the dispensary hatch, monitored dosage packs and ordering medication, among other things.
